I recall that on opera a gay man told his story about being a GAy man at BYU. He recounted his stories about treatment sessions. As part of a study to cure him of his homosexuality he had electrodes attached to his testicles. As they showed him Gay pornography he would receive a jolt. Classical conditioning being the goal, it was to liberate him from his homosexual tendencies.
The study and treatment were, of course a failure. They should have tried what this mom did.
